Interesting, receiving your e-mail. I was just sitting here thinking about you and about life in general. As I turned 57 years old today, I find myself reflecting on what is important in my life and who is also important in my life.
Of all the people I know, you stand out. You do what it is you do, day after day, because you are who you are. Some of the people you affect acknowledge you because they can, many more will do so long after you are gone, but you know this. Simply put, you truly make a difference in peoples lives.
We don't talk often, we don't drink beer together and we don't do many of the things that great friends do. What we create are possibilities, you with your gifts and me with mine. We have very special wives who are the patient with us and unconditionally loyal to us, as we are to them. We have an unrelenting drive to make a difference, and we fulfill on this.
